THE FAMILIARS

Untitled

MORGANNA

Morgy Morganstein
Black Panther

As the TC, we believe Morganna has a former thug-life based around the back alley of an Asian restaurant.  From here she came into owning her skills and moonlighting as a bad-bitch ninja.  As age slowed her down, she was eventually captured and spent year pressing license plates at the local animal shelter.  On an afternoon in October, she was broken out of the joint.  She may be older, but she had no problem telling an eighty-pound coonhound to back the f up, ninja-snatching a cool ranch Dorito as it’s centimeters from your mouther, and purring so loud some nights it will keep you both awake and rewarm your heart by her contentment.

MAYBELENE

Cannoli-bean

Maybelene is the TC when Morganna isn’t around.  She maintains the notion she is still growing to her full-sized potential.  In the meantime, her petite stature does not prevent her from letting her bad bitch attitude from being known.  She gives example to the ‘small yet mighty’ label.  She enthusiastically will offer ‘paw’ when asked and often finds herself alongside you in the kitchen as an unofficial sous chef.  Her personality is one that makes you think she is always smiling when she is with you; a force of positive energy.  Maybelene is always up for an adventure, she’ll need to take more steps than anyone else, but she will be right there with you.

PRUDENCE

Rudeness Everdeen
Jelly-bean

On a romantic moon-lit night in the not so distant past, a Fraggle and a Wookie found each other for a blissful night of passion long enough to bring Prudence into the world.  In the wholesome plains of the Midwest, she learned, honed, and mastered her skills as an empath.  She came to our family, as Caleb was in search of a service alert dog to preventatively address his chronic migraines.  Since coming into the familial fold, she has earned the spot of always being the pack protector for outings and when not with her Dad on a workday, she waits for him in the bedroom window every day from 1700-1900.  In her downtime, Prudence looks forward to her preference of rosemary Triscuits after a day of galloping around the yard, leaping through the snow, puddle-jumping in the mud, or taking herself for a quick dip in the river in the summertime.

RUPERT

Rupert Poopert
Cinn-a-blub

Rupert hails from the northern Appalachian country most recently, however, may be the truest of familiars by nature. A predecessor familiar’s unique personality traits seem to uniquely rise in this little sweet boy. He’s a ’nose down, ears off’ type of puppers who likes to hunt down treat opportunities, chase black bears, and picking losing battles with our resident porcupine.  He has a favorite apple tree, eats q-tips, enjoys being a foot-furnace until he is hot and then not hot...and then hot again, grumbles when you move him during his naps, reluctantly will sit when asked without moving his head in the process, somehow knows how to get onto counters for baked goods, and has an adorable look from over his dad’s shoulder.  His favorite place in the world is the cow pastures, where he enjoys running as fast as he can while telling everyone around him how happy he is.

KAREN

Kare-bear

Karen was literally rescued, from the plateau-rich region of Arkansas, and evacuated by a little eight-person commuter plane. At present, she is a confidently curious perimeter monitor.  She spends a good deal of her day patrolling the house.  Looking for a great sunspot to nap in, she will remove the wayward invading bug or cuddle up in the middle of a pack of pups.  When she is certain she is due human cuddle affection, she will let you know when she unapologetically asserts herself on your lap...or laptop keyboard.  She much prefers her leisure life here in New England!

MERYL

Meryl Chinch

Chinchy-Chinch

A granite-jumping muse from New Hampshire, Meryl offers a comedic calm energy to the home. She has no qualms with slapping the nose of Rupert, reminding him he’s too close and needs to mind his own business. Her love languages include barking in the middle of the night to say goodnight, throwing her cucumbers because they are NOT a ’treat’, and bartering whisker kisses for raisins.  Meryl’s favorite snack is a sweet potato.  One of her cutest behaviors is to run around, stop, bolt up to you and stare you in the face, and stomp her front paws until she gets a little pet.
